Due to a last minute change in my flights, instead of New York, JFK, we flew to Boston.
As our original plans were for 4 nights in New York, I had to make last minute hotel reservations while running to catch our flight.
Whenever I'm travelling I always do my research and have plans of where else we can stay in various cities.
Arriving at Boston airport is a breeze. Automated immigration meant we were through in just a few minutes. We booked an Uber to pick us up from the designated are and waited for our driver, we waited and waited and waited. Our driver had picked up someone else, and their journey was charged to my credit card. I reported it to Uber and they issued a refund straight away.
We ended up booking Lyft, which is the same as Uber. Our driver was with us within a few minutes.
I love Boston as it's only 15 minutes to get into the city centre from the airport.
We arrived at the hotel about 22:00, check in was quick and efficient.
There's a few coffee shops and a Chipotle close by, but these were closed due to our late arrival.
I bought a Coke from the bar and took it up to our room. For a hotel bar, this was very reasonably priced at just a few dollars.
Our room was a typical business hotel with a wide screen tv on the wall, this was a smart tv and allowed access to various websites. We streamed music on Youtube through the set.
After a comfortable nights sleep, I got up and popped out for a small walk to grab some breakfast. I ended up in Mcdonalds, which was a 15 minute walk away. As it was a Saturday morning the streets were very quiet, and I enjoyed the walk. A 7-11 wasn't too far from the hotel. I got quite excited when I saw the nacho machine and unlimited nacho cheese sauce!!!
It really was a flying visit as after breakfast we were back at Boston Logan airport for our flight to JFK.
